MotorTrax to Connect to the Travelling Vehicle
MotorTrax is developed in the form of a mobile application which enables a Vehicle owner to locate his vehicle. This application is best suited for vehicle owners or truck owners who operate fleets to transport goods from one particular location to another. MotorTrax will be installed in the crew’s mobile phone, and it sends the current location information continuously to a Web Server. Fleet Owner or Manager would be able to retrieve information from the server. Entire route through which the vehicle is travelling can be drawn in a map. Application not only provides the location of the vehicle but also gives the exact route map of the vehicle, to enable the Owners to plan judiciously the route map of the vehicle to optimize the operational efficiency.
Various solutions are available in the Market to track Vehicles. Most of the solutions come with GPS installation. Here in MotorTrax we are making use of the available resource. Most of the Fleet Companies provided Vehicle crew with mobile phones.
MotorTrax will be installed in the mobile phone of the Vehicle Crew. MotorTrax will prompt the mobile phone to send the exact Geographic details of the place. How MotorTrax Works?
MotorTrax is built with Symbian C++ and works in all Nokia S60 mobile phones. Mobile phones of the Crew will be loaded with this application. MotorTrax will continuously capture the current location of the user and send this information to a server through GPRS connectivity. Server will receive and save the information related to the location. Data can be retrieved by the owner when he requests for the same. Server will send the owner the co-ordinates it received from the vehicle. Retrieved details will be transferred to the owner’s phone and the application will convert the value and port it into a map view. Finally the owner will get the information in the form of a map. Thus he would be able to easily identify the vehicles location.
