Rain Concert Technologies , partnering with Nokia has developed a unique application for addressing the requirements of traffic police department of Government of Punjab. The objective of the application is to control and monitor the traffic rules violations occurring in places under the traffic police jurisdiction in a region. The Police personnel patrolling in the city/region will be provided with a mobile phone, with prescribed specifications, to run the application.

The Police personnel can capture the images of the traffic violations and can send the details to the server via GPRS/EDGE or 3G connectivity. There are significant advantages like integration with other stand alone applications with this system, which in turn will be helpful in centralised monitoring and control of all activities of the Department.

The system has incorporated an E-challan module which helps the police officer at the field to use his mobile device for on spot penalty charging using mobile device, an E-investigation module to capture video images of violated vehicles and their registration Number and send to a central server for billing and an E-beat module for tracking police personnel on the field.

The enforcement system is a mobile application to automate the entire traffic enforcement processes especially with regard to the automation of penalty processing for traffic violations like parking in no parking zone; drunken driving etc. The solution will be an integrated system with a mobile component and a high-end web component.
