Rain Concert Technology is the Technical solution Provide for the NTD (Neglected Tropical Diseases Programme) MIS project being implemented by Government of Tanzania along with Royal Imperial College UK.

A Management Information System (MIS) using web-mobile convergent technology has been put in place for effective implementation and analysis of Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTD) programme, being implemented under the initiative of NIMR (National Institute of Medical Research (NIMR), Tanzania. Under the project, the current manual field level data collection will be replaced with a mobile phone based survey and instant data capture process. This will enable the programme to achieve faster data collection, analysis and administration of the programme.

The proposed project intents to align with the ongoing initiatives already going on at the field level and will integrate with the current institutional mechanisms put in place by NIMR, as part of the comprehensive NTD programme of the Government. The NTD MIS programme, will be utilizing the latest state of the art mobile-web technology for the two critical phases of the project namely Mass Drug administration process and Monitoring and Evaluation phase. Piloting of the project in one selected region in Tanzania is underway. On successful implementation of the pilot, the project will be rolled out to cover the entire nation.
